In time for holiday gift giving, the North Little Rock History Commission has copies of On the Opposite Shore: The Making of North Little Rock on sale for just $15.00. Published in 2004, the hardback book is beautifully bound with 288 pages and 160 photographs that tell the story of North Little Rock from its earliest settlers to the modern era and aspirations for decades to come. Autographed books are available from the History Commission at 506 Main Street. Books may also be purchased at Galaxy Furniture next door to City Hall.

I just went and bought this book for my mother who has lived in NLR all her life as a Christmas present. I’m sure she will enjoy reading it as well as look at all the pictures in the book. This would be a great present for anyone who has lived in NLR for any length of time.
