NLRPD Advisory: Vehicle Break-Ins
From the NLRPD:
Night time vehicle break-in’s on rise. Keep vehicles locked, valuables out of sight. Report suspicious activity to NLRPD
The North Little Rock Police Department continues to experience an increase in the number of vehicle break-ins. Most of these break-in’s occur in the night hours and occur with vehicles that have been left unlocked and have items visible (laptops, GPS, etc). Please report any suspicious activities to the Police Department immediately. Also use this as a reminder to record all serial numbers of valuables.
Also, if you haven’t yet, sign up for the NLRPD Nixle service so that you can receive these advisories and alerts ASAP.

Suspicious Activity
From Penny Wyatt:
Yesterday my family and I observed a man on a bike circling through my neighbors carport, stopping and looking around and then riding off up the hill towards Scenic. We live on Martin Ln. The neighbor was robbed a few months ago and is an elderly lady. We called the police and they checked her house to make sure everything was ok, but thought everyone should be aware. This was during the day, bout 5:00pm and they weren’t your regular bike rider. Heavy set person, white.
Thanks Penny. Let’s all remember to keep our eyes out for our neighbors, and report anything suspicious to the police.
NLRPD Notification Service
The North Little Rock Police Department has started using an online service called Nixle to provide public information and alerts about crime and traffic. If you use Twitter or Facebook, this service is somewhat similar to those, except it is designed for cities and agencies to provide information that is applicable to your neighborhood (NLRPD is also on Twitter, follow at @NLRPD). Crime alerts can be issued directly to your email or cell phone. For example, when the Sherwood manhunt moved over into the Lakewood area, an alert was sent out.
I would highly advise registering with the site and signing up for notifications from the NLRPD to your cell phone (look under Settings after you’ve registered).

Cat Information
Jenifer, one of our residents, asked for the following information:
On Sunday, my cat was attacked and injured by a black & white male cat. I have seen this cat often on Cliffwood Circle. He doesn’t have a collar, he has not being fixed and I would like to know if this cat is feral. If it has an owner, I need to know what kind of shots the cat has had. My cat is going to the vet today and I would appreciate some info. I’m not asking the owner(if there is one)for assistance with the vet bills, I’m only asking for information of the black and white cat. Thanks.
If you have any information on the cat, please leave a comment (do so anonymously if you wish!)

Paint Ball
Carol Crow sent the following in last Tuesday:
Just wanted to let everyone know that today while I was gone to Kroger someone shot 1 paint ball on front door & 1 under front window on brick. So beware. Thanks.
Let’s all remember to be keeping an eye out for each other!
